I am Alex Peña, a creator in the scope of live arts through performing arts, for which I have a Higher Qualification from the ESAD in Seville, the city where I carry out my activity. My current line of work involves the freedom of format in the narration, exhibition and/or representation of the same, which allows me to offer installation pieces, visual pieces, artistic objects, virtual or physical editions, mobile applications, performances or staging as results of the development of my projects.
The processes, the art of context or the representation of the rehearsal, as a literary genre, are part of my language. Among my latest pieces are ‘Recreativos Federico’ an interactive installation about the commercialisation of artistic icons; the financial performance ‘Santa Várvara, 970€ de libertad y artillería’; the performative installation ‘DLCBA_Deconstrucción de La casa de Bernarda Alba’ or the interactive ceramic devices that make up the ‘Dispensadores peer to peer’ project on collaborative culture.

‘No hay drama sin conflicto’ is an open process of recording, reproducing and representing conflict in the context of theatre. It is shown through an audiovisual installation of deconstruction, transcription, transformation and projection of documents compiled by Alex Peña. The piece belongs to his continuity project called ‘Biblioteca Dramática Deconstruida’, a series of indeterminate duration consisting of pieces of a conceptual nature related to drama. A live set-up with a long duration that continues to nurture and acquire/transform conflict files from the places it visits.
